I’m excited to say that my portfolio website, Alexa Ever After is up and running. Having only coded one other website for a class, it’s been a challenge, but after assembling a plan and designing the layout I’m proud to have put together a place to showcase my designs with the help of WordPress. Welcome!
I began this journey by first going back to school to complete my Bachelor’s in Graphic Design instead of following my initial path as a nurse and I am happy to be only a few months from completing my degree. On the way, I have taken many helpful lessons and this website will showcase my most successful pieces from those courses. This portfolio website itself is the result of one of these classes. Before launching, I had to first select the works I wished to share (please see Portfolio to view all my samples), then create a sitemap, followed by a wireframe to get an idea of the site’s flow. I decided to keep it simple with a homepage, about section, contact section and of course this blog. The blog will serve as a space to give general information about the site, changes to look forward to, and answers to general questions I may get, as well as my opinions on the industry or works I come across. In the future, I may include a space for my personal hobby creations or a link to a site for that content. For now, thank you for visiting and I look forward to hearing from you whether it be opinions or requests for commissions.
