My favorite project so far came from the course, Advanced Digital Imaging, where we were tasked with the creation of our portfolio and refining our brand identity—which is probably why I enjoyed this project so much. It was very personal and allowed me to really focus on my passion. Taking into consideration the needs and requirements of the course as well as applying the psychology of design to communicate the message intended for my audience, I was able to come up with a thematic but simple logo and cohesive brand identity.
The prompt was to create a cohesive professional branding suite that reflects my style, voice, personality, and professional goals, and include a logo for my business card and letterhead, digital résumé, and leave-behind piece. The pieces needed to be included in this portfolio website platform which I created in a prior course. Additionally, I had to link to a social media page that includes content and communication aligned to your personal brand.
I had a lot of fun creating all aspects of my brand and can’t wait to expand further. Hopefully the enthusiasm I had for this project shows through and all pieces flow as they were meant to—communicating a message of enchanting and fantastical passion for book illustrative design.
