This is a word art portrait of actor Simu Liu. The Futura font was chosen to represent his modernness and forward stance on helping the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) community. Red was chosen to represent his Chinese culture, as red is a lucky color in this culture and represents power. Much of the text was taken from quotes from Liu’s book, “When We Were Dreamers.”

This motivational poster was dreamt up from a quote by Walt Disney. First, the design was led by breaking apart the quote into three sections and emphasizing “laughter”, “imagination”, and “dreams” with color. Then, imagery of famous attractions and food from Disneyland was used to convey each section of the quote. Programs used: Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator.
