The Clen Chan Ancestral Hall

During all my travels across the world (8 countries and counting!), I have been fascinated and amazed by a myriad of art and design! I’ve visited the Vatican and seen the amazing statues carved by Michelangelo. I’ve had the great fortune to see the Reclining Buddha of Wat Pho in Bangkok, Thailand. However, as amazing as all of these locations have been, the most inspiring location I have had the pleasure of visiting was the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall in Guangzhou China. The entire hall is an homage to art and design. From the carved roof, studded with a variety of statues, to the inlaid doors and shutters, every object located within the compound has been carved, painted, gilded or sculpted.

If you ever find yourself visiting the city of Guangzhou in China, make sure you take time to visit the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall. You won’t regret it!
