Entry 1: The Power of Pause

Sometimes I have to pause—not because I’m uninspired, but because I’m overstimulated. During my Future Funds project, I had to step back and really ask: ā€œWhat do users need to feel safe and confident here?ā€ That pause helped me lean into clean space, calming tones, and bold but simple CTAs. Less was more, and I’m proud of that realization.

Entry 2: Flowing with Divine Wisdom

The Divine Wisdom cover started from a mood, not a plan. I was listening to soft music, reflecting on legacy and femininity, and suddenly the colors, type, and textures started speaking. I didn’t rush it. I flowed with it. That’s when I knew I wasn’t just designing—I was channeling something deeper. And I want more of that in my work.

Entry 3: Designing Through Doubt

Not every design day is confident. There are times I open my canvas and just stare. But I’ve learned that doubt is part of my process—it slows me down just enough to think deeper. The Zumiez Newsletter taught me how to design in layers: style, energy, structure, tone. Even when I’m unsure, I keep creating. That’s the muscle I’m building.
